Gluten Free Restaurants in Chicago

Chicago is a great place to live gluten free. You could enjoy a different restaurant each evening for at least a month without disrupting your celiac friendly lifestyle.

The Adobo grill offers two restaurants, one in “old town” and the other in Wicker Park. Both restaurants post gluten free menus on-line. Both menus include the location of the restaurant.

DaLucianos serves great celiac friend pasta and pizza as well as a host of other items compatible with our diet. I understand from a blog that the place is small enough that a reservation is always a great idea and the establishment wants “to be ready for you”. Click here for the location

Lou Malnati’s has 24 outlets in the Chicago area. Their crustless pizza uses a large sliced sausage as a base. You will need to scroll almost completely down the menu page to read about this delicacy. Links to locations are also on the home page; I can’t give you an exact web address because you need to enter the section of the city that you are searching. Chicago is a big city.

The Wildfire Restaurants present six opportunities for dining in Chicago and a few more elsewhere. Click here to see their gluten free menu posted on line.

For great Italian food, I suggest the Vinci Restaurant.

The Chicago Diner is best known as a vegetarian / vegan restaurant, but they do offer a complete gluten free menu.

Try the Weber Grill Restaurant, brought to by the people who revolutionized American backyard cooking using the Weber Grill. Each of the three locations has a gluten free menu.

Need more ideas! Here is long list of recommendations written by members of the Celiac Sprue Association of Greater Chicago. If you will eating some of your meals in your hotel 0r elsewhere, have a look at their grocery stores list.  Both lists were updated in January, 2008.
