Gluten Free Christmas

Christmas stockings

Our holiday celebration has three basic elements:

:-) the gifts we give

:-) the food we share

:-) the people we celebrate with

Our gluten free lifestyle affects every part of our Christmas experience. It also has an impact on the people around us.

GIFT CARDS. A meal at The Outback Steakhouse is a wonderful treat for someone living gluten free especially if that person can use a gift card that has been personalized with a picture of a special person. I’d love to show off my grandchildren’s picture after enjoying the holiday meal they have given me for Christmas.

Ruby Tuesday also provides personalized gift cards. They even offer a 15% discount if you buy $500 worth of gift cards and/or a $15 “bonus card” if you purchase a $50 gift card. This might be an opportunity for people with a big family and/or lots of business associates.

P.F. Changs also offers gift cards. To make the gift even more special, combine it with a no-cost “warrior card” which entitles the bearer to 10% off on every meal check.

These three restaurants provide excellent gluten free and conventional options.

BOOKS. People who live gluten free love books related to their situation. My article  “Books and the Gluten Free Lifestyle“  briefly reviews five books that would be welcome in any celiac’s library. If you can’t find the books locally, use the buttons in the article to order from Amazon (dot com).

GIFT BASKETS. My article “Gift Baskets for the Gluten Free” includes a wealth of information about gift baskets available at Amazon (dot com). It also gives you information about how to order a full gingerbread house complete with gluten free decorations.

Cooking for Christmas is very much like cooking for Thanksgiving. My “Gluten Free Thanksgiving” page is still available, even though there is no longer a tab at the top of the page.

Christmas and Thanksgiving are similar in that both holidays center around people and food. Refer back to my “Gluten Free Thanksgiving” power page for ideas and information.

I’ve added a “holiday banner” to this page. It may be a convenient way to complete your last minute Christmas shopping for gluten free products or anything else.
