Every food item manufactured in the United States is required to have a list of ingredients on its wrapper or package. People who live gluten free are cautioned to “read every ingredient label every time” in case the manufacturers have changed the ingredients, which they have every right to do. That’s excellent advice, IF the label reader know which ingredients are toxics and which are safe.
I’ve written articles about these sixty ingredients listed at the bottom of the article. All are gluten free although in some cases you may need to chose a specific brand or variety. Reading some of these articles ahead of time may help you make good shopping decisions. It’s always best to double-check your purchases when you return from the store. (My church’s food bank makes good use of the items I discard after rechecking my grocery bags.)
Here’s my list of potentially gluten free food.. To learn about one of them, write the appropriate word in the box in the right column that is labeled “Search this Site”. You will see the title and first few words of every article in which I have mentioned that item. Obviously, the most recently written articles are the most reliable.
