Gluten Free Dining at Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse

Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse offers gluten free meals in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Click here to study their gluten restricted menu.

I have no idea how that title differs from the more-customary “gluten free menu”. This message accompanies the menu: “In an effort to meet the needs of all our valued customers, Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, in cooperation with the Gluten Intolerance Group (www.gluten.net) is currently offering a variety of gluten-free menu options. … The following has been analyzed by an independent registered dietician and is meant to serve as a guide to help choose items they have deemed to be gluten free. Charlie Brown’s is not responsible for the content based on the dietician’s recommendations.”

My comments: They may or may not be responsible for the dietition’s recommendations, and an enorsement from the Gluten Intolerance Group is certainly impressive. However, they the restaurant is certainly responsible for what they have done to avoid cross-contamination. They have not shared this with us.

REMINDER: This article is not a full review of Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse. I focused solely on gluten free menu, the only thing that a potential customer can do without actually visiting a restaurant and speaking to the staff. If you choose to check out this restaurant personally, be sure to examine the gluten free menu. It may have changed since I wrote this article.
