Masala Dosa… Gluten Free Indian Cuisine

0 Comments 27 January 2012

Masala Dosa looks like India’s answer to the taco and I’ve also seen it described as a ‘stuffed pancake’. It is almost always gluten free (but, as always, you need to read the ingredients label carefully). The box I picked up at Trader Joe’s described it as “crisp rice crepes stuffed with spiced potatoes and onions”. I tried it as an experiment in gluten free dining and a potential website article, and I thought it was great on both counts.  Whether you enjoy the Masala depends on your taste for Indian-style spices. I loved it.
