Gluten Free Pretzels from Snyders of Hanover

I recently sampled gluten free pretzels from Snyders of Hanover. Great. I totally agree with reviewers who have rated them ‘salty’, ‘crispy’, ‘crunchy’, and ‘airy’. Their most unique feature may be that they sell for about $3 for an eight ounce bag. I always feel a bit self-conscious when I review gluten free food — I last tasted wheat-based food during the last century and have no idea how gluten free items compare to their wheat-based cousins.

I discovered that I was in good company. The first three blogs I read praised these gluten free pretzels and made no negative or even luke-warm comments. Gluten Free Philly dot com compared these pretzels to the ones produced by Glutano and decided that the pretzels from Snyders were superior in every respect. Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom dot com, Gluten Free Works dot com and Ms Celiac Says dot com all praise this product.

Of course, everyone is pleased when a major company like Snyder’s of Hanover takes an interest in serving America’s gluten free community. Click on the company name to learn more about this company and its large selection of gluten free products.

I had called Snyder’s of Hanover a couple of dozen times asking them to do a Gluten Free Pretzel as their products are the greatest. I loved their Garlic Nuggets, when I was eating gluten.

They finally told me they were coming out with a GF product. I watched for it and was I glad to see it. It outshines Glutino by far. I am still after them for more, and hope they continue to bring more GF pretzels to our markets. So far I can only find the in Whole Foods in the Phoenix, AZ area, hoping some other Stores will jump on the bandwagon

I concur. My entire family is addicted to these pretzels….2 of us are Celiacs & 2 of us are not. Even the dog comes running across the house when she hears the bag crinkling! They make great school snacks, we dip them into chocolate & sprinkles for holidays, dip them into hummus & dill dip…you name it. Plus they are just divine straight out of the bag. LOVE THEM!

I used to love pretzels, and definitely believe that Glutino’s product is the best so far, ~that I can find… Have been looking for the Synder brand for ages, in all stores available to me and have not yet been successful.
Again, do they have a GF facility? Just blowing down the equipment (“best manufacturing processes” is what that is called) is NOT adequate! I’ve not been able to find any information on that (separate GF facility).. and tho it’s been a long time since I’ve eaten gluten also, I will know when a decent FAT pretzel (miss those, I do) comes out. And what is it with all these manufacturers thinking we will spend so much per pretzel?? (or chip or portion, etc) Rice flour is cheaper than wheat flour, and many of the other ingredients aren’t higher priced ones either. I can’t wait for them to figure out that high prices = low buying practices by consumers = lower prices OR plant closings.

I recently was able to purchase your Pumpernickle & Onion Sticks in North Carolina. Since returning to my home, Peoria IL, I have tried all the stores and they are unable to get them in their store. Is there a way for me to buy them on line? If so, please let me know. They are the only pretzels that I will eat. And I would like to know why no store can get them here.

    Thanks very much
