Gluten Free Thanksgiving
Today I launched my Thanksgiving “Power Page”, a summary of everything that I have written about the holiday, the foods that will be prepared, and the people (celiacs and non-celiacs) who will be enjoying the holiday feast together. Turkey, like all meat, is naturally gluten free. However, gluten toxic items may be added to the bird to make it self-basting. The traditional stuffing must be prepared without gluten-toxic ingredients if it is to be cooked inside the turkey. All side dishes must be scrutinized carefully to make sure they are appropriate for everyone attending the feast. Cross contamination in the kitchen must be avoided. This “power page” will help you reach these goals.
