Cooking with Gluten Free Beer

Comments Off 16 July 2009

Gluten free beer works well in most recipes originally designed for conventional beers. Here are four examples that may be useful to you:

Gluten-free-beer-battered onion rings. You will need to scroll down the page to find this delicacy.

Cocolate beer cake. Created by gluten free cooking expert Jules Dowler Shepard.

Bread baked with gluten free beer. The actual recipe is at the end of an article listing tips for gluten free bread baking.

Gluten free beer batter for fish. Scroll down to the third page of this newsletter published by the Eugene, Oregon, chapter of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG).

I assume (but don’t actually know) that most recipes that include beer can be prepared using celiac-friendly beer. If you have had experiences (negative or positive) cooking with gluten free beer, please share your thoughts with America’s gluten free community. E-mail me at gfceliac@gmail.com or leave a comment at the bottom of this or any article.
