Godfather’s Pizza is introducing gluten free pizza. According to its press release dated March 23, 2009, celiac friendly pizza is now availqable in selected stores in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, and South Dakota. The gluten free pizzas are prepared off-premises and individually wrapped, Those who have concerns about cross-contamination can take advantage of Godfathers Pizza’s "take and bake" option.

As soon as I finish this article, I will e-mail Godfather’s Pizza to thank them for their concern for America’s gluten free community and encouraqge them to continue providing gluten free pizza. I hope that many of you will do the same. I will also ask for updated information about which individual restaurants offer gluten free pizza.

UPDATE 6/3/09. Godfather’s has doubled the number of restaurants offering gluten free pizza. For details, click on Godfather’s Pizza, then click on locator. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on services, and then choose gluten free pizza. You will be linked to information about all outlets serving gluten free pizza. As of today, (06/03/09) there are 18 restaurants in six midwestern states.
