This gluten free food fair will offer visitors the chance to sample foods from at least 40 celiac friendly vendors. The fair will include free coupons entitling the bearer to free blood testing for celiac disease at a local health clinic. (Come early — there is a limited number of coupons.) I commend the Sacramento area Celiac Sprue Association for coming up with this innovative and certainly useful idea. I hope more groups will follow this example.

The event will be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 2391 St. Mark’s Way, Sacramento, on May 16 from 10 – 2. Admission is $1 and the public is cordially invited. More information is available by calling (916)-483-8456.
