Gluten Free Celiac Search…our Celiac Friendly Search Engine

Comments Off 04 February 2009

I’m privileged today to introduce Gluten Free Celiac Search, a search engine tailored to meet the needs of America’s gluten free community. Why — you may ask — do we need our own search engine? Well, as you may know, if you enter the term "gluten free" in the google search engine, you will be presented with over nine million options. There are so many choices that google does not even attempt to count them exactly. The google site arranges these in order of "relevance", and does an awesomely good job when you consider that the task is being done  by a computer rather than by a human being who is living with celiac disease.

Google has provided the technology to solve (or at least alleviate) this problem and it is my privilege to bring this blessing to the gluten free community. Click here to view and experiment with Gluten Free Celiac Search. On this page, you will find a link to an article that will answer most of your questions, including what steps should be taken by site operators to insure that their site is indexed in this new search engine.
