Gluten Free Hamburger Buns from The Grainless Baker…a Product Review

Comments Off 10 January 2009

I loved these gluten free hamburger rolls. They were soft and tasty with a texture that would keep them from crumbling or tearing with a burger inside. They are celiac friendly but do contain milk and eggs. The buns can be purchased frozen or "regular". My comments are based on the frozen version of the product.

The Gluten Free Mall site suggests that we "thaw  these buns on the counter. Slice them and warm for ten seconds in the microwave just to soften a bit". I think toasting the buns lightly improves the "experience". I’m looking forward to next summer when I can try them toasted lightly on a grill filled with hamburgers. I recommend that this information be put on the package for the benefit of people who do not have the opportunity or inclination to look it up on the internet.

As you can tell, I am very enthusiastic about this product. Great food like these buns remind me that I live on a celiac disease diet but I also enjoy a wonderful gluten free lifestyle.
