Cindy’s House Cafe in Carey makes this statement on their website: “We can provide meals for anyone with specific dietary needs. Gluten free and vegetarian and “gluten free are the most common that we cater to. Please call us if you have special needs and we can create something for you…We offer gluten free bread and salad dressings which can be substituted in any of our sandwiches or salads.”

The Encore Bistro and Bar in Charlotte marks gluten free items on its regular menu.

The Twisted Noodle, a Thai restaurant in Durham, states that “wheat free dishes are available upon request”. Te site does not address the question of foods that are both wheat free and gluten free.

The Thoughtful Baker in Charlotte bakes gluten free products to order. Call him at 704-341-1964. The e-mail address is thethoughtfulbaker@earthlink.com.

The Twins Kitchen in Raleigh “offers personal chef’s services, cooking classes (private or group), consultations, grocery shopping, and pantry restocking. Twin Cakes is a dedicated gluten free vegan bakerynthat bakes treats for all to enjoy.”

Rosie’s Plate in Raleigh offers gluten free meals to take out. This establishment describes itself as a “gluten, shellfish, peanut free kitchen”.

The Bella Monica Flatbread Company in Raleigh lists gluten free pizza on its menu.

Most of America’s celiac-friendly restaurant chains have outlets in North Carolina. Gluten free meals are available at Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, Bonefish Grill, Boston Market, Carino’s Italian Grill, Carrabbas Italian Grill, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Chili’s Grill and Bar, Dairy Queen, Firebird’s Rocky Mountain Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Lone Star Steakhouse, O’Charley’s, On the Border Mexican Grill, Outback Steakhouse, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, PeiWei Asian Diner, Red Robin, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Shane’s Rib Shack, Steak ‘n Shake, Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse, and Uno Chicago Grill.
