Rhode Island has more gluten free opportunities per square mile than any other state in the union. I can’t “prove” that fact, but I think that it will be obvious to you when you visit the website of “Gluten Free Dining Friends Rhode Island“. This is a social group that dines out monthly in a celiac friendly restaurant. The groups website posts lists of gluten free restaurants in all the New England states.

This group proclaims that there are not a support group (I disagree, they are totally supportive) and links you to the Hasbro Hospital’s site which provides web access to five support groups in New England as well as seven places in Rhode Island where gluten free food can be purchased.

Vesuvio’s Restaurant in Cranston posts its menu on-line and promises that “gluten free options are available on request”.

A and J Bakery in Cranston is a dedicated gluten free and nut free bakery. You may have heard about their pre-made gingerbread houses.
