Giulio's Cucina in Livonia, Michigan…a Restaurant Review
Posted on 5:17 am by Gluten Free Guy
‘I found this restaurant while going thru some coupons, and it stated, "gluten-free" items available. We went for dinner and I mentioned to the server that I needed a gluten-free menu and she said they were on the regular menu with a little icon.
"Within minutes, the chef, Tom Kazmierek, came out, asked what I liked and suggested a few things, then made them for me. He even sent me home with a little bag of the gluten-free "master-mix" to try my hand at creating my own dishes.
“I was served my own bread, my own oil, and I actually was able to enjoy gluten free wine, handmade angel hair pasta, with scallops and shrimp, an eggplant bisque, and a chocolate-raspberry crepe to die for! He makes everything with the bean flour mix he created. They even do a monthly gluten-free night where the entire menu is a 5-course gluten-free extravaganza.
“I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes Italian food, especially celiacs!”

I deeply appreciate these “guest reviews”. The gluten free community needs to hear many voices. People who have first-hand experience with a specific restaurant have insight that I can not possibly gain from surfing the internet. If anyone out there is interested in writing a review, leave a comment at the end of this or any article or send me an e-mail at gfceliac@gmail.com
