Comments from celiacs who have actually eaten at a specific gluten free restaurant are much more valuable than words snatched from the internet. Obviously, I can visit only a tiny percentage of the establishments that I am listing. Hopefully, “guest reviewers” like yourselves can meet this need.
Please answer these six questions about your favorite gluten free restaurant and relay the information to me. I’ll turn your thoughts into a “review” and publish it for the benefit of the entire celiac community. I’ll use your name only if you give me specific permission to do so. To help you decide what to say, I have given possible answers in parentheses). Semd in your comments by leaving a comment at the end of this article of by sending me an e-mail at gfceliac@gmail.com. Keep in mind that your negative comments are useful here. We need honest answers, not "sales pitches".
1. Why did you decide to visit this restaurant? (gluten free menu posted on-line, recommendation from a celiac who had eaten there successfully, etc.)
2. What did you do to make the restaurant personnel aware of your needs? (spoke with the chef or manager, spoke with waiter, etc/). What happened during these conversations?
3. How did you decide what to order? (advice from chef, read gluten free menu or list, advice from a celiac who had dined there, made my own decision based on the menu, etc.)
4. What did you eat? Did you have any gluten-reactions? Did you see anything suggesting that cross contamination might have occurred?
5. What comments would you like to make about the quality of the food, the service, or the restaurant atmosphere?
6. Please give the name and address of the restaurant (and the internet address if you know it)
Thanks for your help. Have a great day.
