The Gluten Free Information Explosion

Posted on 6:33 am by Gluten Free Guy

The amount of information available to celiacs is increasing daily. I think “exploding” might be a better word. I love this problem! This blog is filling a real need. Nevertheless, I have made changes in two sections of the site to help me cope with this “gluten free information explosion”.

I changed the “Question and Answers” by listing the questions at the top of the page. This makes it relatively easy to read the list of questions and then scroll down to find the answer. Let me remind you that this section is quite different from the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of a traditional website. The questions come from e-mails that you have sent me and comments that you have made about articles. I rely on your e-mails and comments to answer those questions.

The “New and Updated Articles” section has failed to do what I intended. Dozens of articles are (or could be if I had the time) changed every day. Most of those changes have to do with restaurants that gotten on the gluten free bandwagon and are now providing gluten free services, a few places that have gone out of business and/or are no longer serving the gluten free community.

I’m in the processing of writing articles about gluten free living covering each of the 50 states. The states that I have covered are listed at the top of the right-hand column. I have added a date to each state name. This is the date when the article was published or the date on which new information was added. I recommend that you do not rely on any article than two months old. I have also added the date at the bottom of each article so that you can judge the usefulness of any printouts you may have made.
