Here is my list of independently owned gluten free restaurants in New York state:
Babylon. Emerson’s Restaurant. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of The Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program, a project of the Gluten Intolerance Group. Click on the restaurant name for the location or click here for the gluten free menu.
Belle Harbor. Plum Tomatoes Pizza Restaurant. Click on the name of the restaurant to get the addresses, which will be found at the bottom of the page. This restaurant also has a location in Mineola. Click here for the gluten free menu,
Blasdell. Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant. Featuring Italian cuisine. Click on the restaurant name for the location or click here for the gluten free menu,
Carle Place. Cafe Fromaggio. The home page states that it is “now carrying gluten free pasta and pizza” but does not provide specifics. Click on the restaurant name for the location.
Harrison. Halstead Bistro. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program. Click on the restaurant’s name for the location. Click here for the menu, Gluten free items are indicated on the general menu.
Hartsdale. Epstein’s Deli. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program. The site does not mention the deli’s gluten free status. Click on the restaurant name for the exact location.
Hastings-on-Hudson. Maud’s Tavern. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program. Click here for the gluten free menu.
Lackawanna. Curly’s Grill. Gluten free items are clearly indicated on both the lunch and the dinner menus. Click on the restaurant’s name to get the location.
Mineola. Plum Tomatoes Pizza Restaurant. Click on the restaurant name for the locaition. Plum Tomatoes also has a location in Belle Harbor. Click here for the gluten free menu.
Montgomery. Pazzo Italian Grill. I’m guessing here, but I think the menu is in Italian. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program.

Northport. Smoking Sloes. Click here for the gluten free menu. This restaurant is honest and aware enough to admit that “at this point, there is no cross-contamination control program in place”. Click here for the gluten free menu and/or click on the name of the restaurant to get the location.
Oakdale. Mama’s Italian Restaurant. 1352 Mantaujuk Highway, 631-567-0909. There is no website. This restaurant has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program.

Pleasantville. Jackson and Wheeler. A quote from their website: “Gluten Free dining has just been made easier. All entries, except for Ravioli and Hanger Steak, on our new dinner menu can be prepared Gluten Free. Just ask your server and he/she will tell you how. We continue to carry gluten free pasta and been and offer gluten free deserts.” Click on the restaurant name for the location. Poughkeepsie. Soul Dog. Unlike many gluten free restaurants, this place is strictly casual and defines its own purpose as “redefining the hot dog experience”. Gluten free bakery products are also available. Click on the restaurant name for the location or click here to read the gluten free menu.

Ryebrook. Ray’s Cafe. 176 South Ridge Street, Ryebrook. 914-0747. There is no website. This restaurant features Chinese cuisine and has earned the endorsement of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program.
