Boomi Gluten Free Food Bars…a Product Review

Posted on 5:37 am by Gluten Free Guy

I tried the pineapple ginger bar, one of thirteen varieties of gluten free Boomi Bars available from The Gluten Free Mall.  I enjoyed the taste and the bar controlled my appetite in a situation where I needed to miss a meal.. That’s great as far as I am concerned: I normally need more than the 200 calories. I liked the chewy texture; I felt like I was eating food rather than crunching candy.

The bar I sampled was gluten, corn, egg, soy, and milk free and contained no preservatives or genetically modified ingredients. No refrigeration is necessary. The bar was not the least bit “crumbly” and would have survived in my lunch box if necessary. Avoiding crumbs can be a major issue to persons on the celiac disease diet. One minor limitation: my wife gently but firmly reminded me that it’s a good idea to brush my teeth or at least rinse my mouth after consuming the bar.

Kristi :

I *heart* boomi bars. I however, do not *heart* their hefty price tag. Fortunately, if you order them in bulk, it helps a great deal. There was only one I've had that was not yummy at all and it was the protein one… it's all white, you'd know it if you saw it. ;)
