Akron.The Bistro of Green, located in the community of Green, just south of Akron. Click here to read their gluten free lunch and their gluten free dinner menu.
Alliance. Pisanello Pizza. The gluten free menu includes pizza andother celiac friendly items. Click on the restaurant name for the location. UPDATE: I got an e-mail from one of our sit’s visitors stating that this establishment is now closed. All the store furnishings have been auctioned off so presumably they don’t plan to reopen. At least, they had the courteousy to take down their website. You’d be surprised how many times this does not happen!
Alliance. Kathy’s Creations. Products from this gluten free bakery are available at several outlets in Ohio.
Canton. Gregory’s Family Restaurant. Sandwiches are served on lettuce or you are welcome to bring you own bread. The restaurant address is on the menu page.
Cincinnati. The local gluten free support group publishes a list of restaurant recommendations.
Columbus. Cap City Diner. Two locations. Choose your location first, then click on the gluten free menu option.
Columbus. “The Gluten Free Gang”, a celiac support group, publishes restaurant recommendations covering the Columbus area.
Franklin. Tina’s Sweet Treats invites you to choose from the gluten free items displayed on the website, phone in your order, give 48 hours notice, and pick up your baked goods at the baker’s home.
Solon. The Soup Pot. Receive seal of recognition from The Celiac Sprue Association
Stow. Altieri’s Pizza. Offers a gluten free menu on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This menu includes gluten free fried chicken, wings, and jijo potatoes. Gluten free pizza and rotini pasta is available every day.

Our family recently went to Put-in-Bay on Bass Island, OH. I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and my daughter is gluten and milk intolerant. The Crescent Tavern in Put-in-Bay made us a very special dinner that was gluten free –and delicious! We had asked in advance about their menus, explained our circumstances, and they offered to do it. It *made* our vacation!
In Akron and wherever there are EAT N PARK restaurants — they have, on their regular menu, an entire section devoted to Gluten Free Menu items. There’s a nice selection. On top of that, the manager came over during the meal to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction and need.
