A Gluten Free Shopping Strategy
Posted on 6:48 am by Gluten Free Guy
Gluten free shopping on-line is relatively simple. You’re probably at a site where everything is “safe”. If not, it is clearly labeled in text that is actually intended to be read. Isn’t that a refreshing change from what you find on the so-called ingredients lists you find in the traditional store.?
The downside, of course, is that a shipping charge is added to everything you buy on-line. There is a delay of several days between the time you see the need for a product and the time you have it in your hands. Finally, there is something very satisfying about holding an object in your hand while you are making up your mind about whether to purchase it.
Sometimes you can have the best of both worlds. My strategy is to shop on-line, deciding what I want, and then printing out the page so that I will know when I see the exact same item in my local supermarket. Then I visit the grocery store and make up my mind to buy on-line, to buy in the store or to move on to something else.
My new schedule involves publishing an article about gluten free shopping, using the internet as well as local supermarkets and healthfood stores.
