The Kroger supermarket chain publishes a great list of gluten free foods available in its stores. I particularly like the introduction to the list, which spells out exactly how the list was developed, explains it limitations, and gives a phone number (866-632-6900) for registered dieticians who can answer your questions. You may want to look at this list before you proceed to the task of finding a convenient store.
The Kroger supermarket chain uses 14 different store names and roughly the same number of web sites. Fortunately, all those sites use a similar format. To find a location in your area, click on FIND A LOCATION in the bar at the left side of your screen. You’ll need to enter a ZIP code. To visit the gluten free food list, click on PHARMACY & HEALTH at the top of the page and scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find a link to GLUTEN INFORMATION.
These supermarkets are part of the Kroger chain: Kroger, Fred Meyer. Ralph’s, King Soopers, Fry’s Food, Dillons, Smith Food and Drugs, Quality Food Centers, Food for Less, City Market, Owen’s Market, Jay C Foods, Highlander, and Gerbes. Click on the store name to find a specific store location. I was not able to find web addresses for the stores that are not underlined.
