The Gluten Free Guy Plans Ahead

0 Comments 04 May 2008

When I began this Gluten Free Blog, the idea that I would soon have “too much information” never entered my mind. It’s a great problem to have! When I began this blog, my biggest problem was finding things to write about. Now I realize that it is essential to “get organized”.

And so I have set up a weekly schedule:

On Sunday I will publish an article about this site and how it works. By the way, I’ll write the article on Saturday and my computer software will publish it on Sunday. It’s essential to my mental health that I turn off my computer one day a week.

Monday’s articles will be restaurant reviews. Last week I wrote about Chili’s. This week’s article will cover The Outback Steakhouse. I chose to start with these chain restaurants because each one has restaurants in all 50 states.

At least for now, I’ll rely on YouTube for gluten free cooking demonstrations every Tuesday. Last week I featured a burrito recipe that was both gluten free and casein free. This week’s cooking demonstration will be a “sweet chili chicken wrap” that can easily be adapted to individual’s tastes.

Wednesday’s articles will feature grocery stores and supermarkets who accommodate gluten free shoppers and by publishing lists of celiac friendly foods. Last week I talked about Whole Foods Market. This week I will focus on Trader Joe’s.

On Thursdays I will review foods. Last Thursday I wrote about my favorite gluten free brownie mix. This week I’ll review Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes.

My goal for Fridays is to write about one state each week and include everything I know about the state-of-the-week. I’m going to do this alphabetical order, so last week I covered Alabama and this week I’ll write about Alaska.

My topic for Saturdays is gluten free shopping on-line. I published an introductory article yesterday. Next Saturday I will report on The Gluten Free Pantry.

I hope some of you are actually reading this article. I wrote if for myself basically. I do better work when I set deadlines and make schedules for myself. I’m likely to be more successful when  people are aware of my promises. Wish me luck in keeping up with this schedule.
