Gluten Free Pizza Opportunities

At least three organizations are successfully attempting to establish gluten free pizza restaurants coast-to-coast. New restaurants are opening every day; check the list in my newly updated “Guide to Restaurants Serving Gluten Free Pizza”.

Still Riding Pizza is not a restaurant chain but a company that sells gluten free pizza crusts wholesale and gives support to restaurants that wish to serve the celiac community. Their web site lists dozens of restaurants that purchase and serve their pizza crusts. They also sell retail to people baking pizza at home. Their site lists dozens of restaurants that serve their pizzas and I have reproduced this list in my “Guide to Restaurants Serving Gluten Free Pizza”.  I suggest that you check with the individual restaurants involvedbefore dining there;  very few of them state on their website that gluten free pizza is available.

Pizza Fusion recently opened its third pizza restaurant in Florida. Many more locations that will be opening soon. Some may already have opened, but I only listed the three location that had hours-of-operation listed at the site.

I was thrilled to learn that Picazzo’s  had recently opened its first pizza restaurant outside Arizona in my hometown of Portland, Oregon. In my opinion, Picazzo’s serves the finest pizza in the nation and my non-celiac wife is equally enthusiastic. If you live in Portland, I hope to see you at Picazzo’s; I’ll be there often. If you don’t live in Portland, Oregon, or in Arizona (where they operate eight restaurants), pray that their plan to spread across the nation will prosper.
