I want to salute the new website for singles who live gluten free. Clicking on words GlutenFreeDate.com or CeliacDate.com will get you where you need to be! I have been happily married since 1969 so I am totally unqualified to critique this site, but I think it fills a need. I suspect that I might have remained a bachelor if I had attempted to explain my gluten free diet on a first date. Eventually, couples have to eat.
There is also a lot of great information on this site that is useful to anyone who shares our life style. So congratulations and good luck. I’m glad your here.

So sad these sites aren’t available anymore. I’ve been diagnosed with Celiac for the past 5 years and after going on a few dates I have thought to myself repeatedly for the past few years how much I wish I could just meet another Celiac. It would make things SO much easier–and there’d be an important bond–a common struggle that is so important I think. Some will disagree and I completely understand–of course I believe that if two people fall in love a diet hardly matters, but Celiac is a daily struggle and truly a far cry from an average person’s eating habits, especially on the run and out in the world. I would like to think my perfect girl would be someone I love to be with, and who also shares the daily challenges to my diet. Here’s hoping
I understand your frustration…How can they not have a online service for Celiacs? Its hard for someone to understand and be supportive about it. I have only been diagnosed with it for 2 months and now I feel like all the men out there look at me different. They dont want to understand. I WAS dating someone but they took off like it was something they could catch. Dating someone with Celiac would make it so much easier. They could understand what you are feeling and plan meals with you not against you. If you find a site that is for Celiac singles please to share.

I agree. I’ve been diagnosed celiac, and it is not easy to explain to a potential date (especially on a single’s site) what gluten free means, and what it entails. It’s not as though I find the whole thing annoying, but having to be so “picky” about where to go on a date, much less ordering food, can really put a damper on a date. Plus, I guess the gluten free singles sites are down. Back to the drawing board. If anyone knows something I don’t, please share.
