Will I ever be able to eat bread and other bakery items that don’t taste like celiac friendly cardboard? That’s one of the first questions that every celiac asks. The triumphant answer is YES! It’s not easy —but it can be done.
Many local bakeries gluten friendly products. Many of them providesa café of some sort to accommodate those who don’t wish to take their treasure home. I’ve published my “Successful Celiac’s Guide to Retail Bakeries and Cafes” even though the list is far from complete. Today is
My next “Successful Celiac’s Guide” will focus on wholesale bakeries: firms that sell their products on-line and/or rely on retails stores to bring them to you.
Finally, I will prepare a “Guide” talking about the firms that make it possible for us to bake gluten free at home. We need baking mixes, celiac friendly flour, cookbooks, other baking supplies, as well as bread machines and blenders.
