Gluten Free Restaurants

Posted on 5:19 pm by Gluten Free Guy

Judging from responses to this site, finding a gluten free restaurant is your most significant concern. I agree! I’ve got the celiac diet pretty much under control when I am at home. But what happens when I venture out? Here is a summary of everything that I have written to help you (and to help myself) deql with the problems of gluten free dining.

My intention is to write  articles covering each of the fifty states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The widget labeled “Gluten Free Restaurants”, which is at the top of the right-hand column on this page, lists (or eventually will list) each of the states and hopefully provides the information you are looking for. Find the state that interests you, click on the article(s) that concern you, and explore.

There are also many restaurant chains that provide gluten free options. Restaurant chains will probably supply  most of your meals while you are traveling. Many of these places provide great food, andalmost all of the chains have a legal department that helps their members avoid legal entanglements by making false promises of gluten free food. For each chain, I have listed the name of the chain, given a link that will help you find specific locations, another link to their gluten free menu or suggestions for celiac friendly dining. And a list of the states in which they provide service. Because this list is so long, I published it in three sections:

For restaurant chains from the beginning of the alphabet through Chili’s Restaurant, click here. This article also gives general suggestions for gluten free restaurant dining.

For restaurant chains for Claim Jumper through Outback Steakhouse, click here.

For other restaurant chains, click here.

Many bakeries offer gluten free baked goods to take home or to enjoy on the premises. Click here to have a look at my list.

Here is my state-by-state rundown of opportunities to enjoy gluten free pizza.

Everything in this article is a “work in progress”. New celiac friendly establishments open every day and there are certainly are places that I have never heard of. Unfortunately, it is also true that these wonderful places have a way of disappearing or abandoning their gluten free practices. I am unlikely to learn about these sad events unless you let me know. Please click the CONTACT US button at the top of the page so that everyone can benefit from your knowledge. Thanks in advance.
