Crispy Rice: a Gluten Free Cereal from Nature’s Path

0 Comments 01 January 2008

I enjoyed Crispy Rice cereal from Nature’s Path. It’s made from whole grain brown rice and that may be one of the reasons why it seems superior to all the other Rice Krispies look-alikes. The box is labeled gluten free, and the facility where it was prepared does not process wheat.

When you are shopping, be aware that many store-brand cereals use the name "Crispy RIce" but in almost every case they are flavored with malt (barley) extract or flavoring which makes them unsuitable for us.

The widget shown below features all the Nature’s Path cold cereals available from The Gluten Free Pantry. For reasons that escape me, the do not sell Crispy Rice. Perhaps it is too new. I know that it is the first time I had seen it on the grocery shelf.
