Gluten Free Challah (Jewish Egg) Bread
Posted on 9:39 am by Gluten Free Guy
Lets face it, celiac friendly bread tends to be a bit "heavy", so it makes sense to choose breads where that is not too much of a liability. Gluten free Challah bread meets that criteria admirably. Actually, it tastes great fresh from the oven and can survive in the freezer for at least a month. It tastes great, is soy free, lactose free, and can be made totally dairy free by using appropriate margarine. My wife learned this recipe shortly after my diagnosis in 1999, and it has always been one of our favorites. The recipe is found on pages 54-55 of More From the Gluten Free Gourmet.

More From the Gluten Free Gourmet by Bette Hagman? Doesn't Bette put gelatin in all her GF breads? Ewww? I know she is the queen of GF Breads, but her common use of Gelatin in breads is such a turn off!
Is it in her challah recipe too?
