This video discusses (1) the genetic basis of celiac disease, (2) the symptoms of celiac disease and the process for diagnosis and testing, and (3) the 8 principles of the gluten free diet. The material is up-to-date having been presented as a community lecture in September, 2007.

  The video is 87 minutes long. The three speakers are physicians at the Celiac Center at the University of California at San Diego and this is definitely not the sort of thing you usually find on YouTube. I hope that more presentations like this become available. The video is a bit dry and technical but I was totally involved in it and learned some things that 8 years of celiac living and three years as a gluten free blogger had not taught me.
