2 Comments 05 December 2007

Christmas time is here by golly…deck the halls with bows of holly. And get ready to for the big day. Here are some articles that may be useful to you, whether you are experiencing your own celiac friendly holiday season, entertaining friends who live gluten free, or giving gifts to people with food sentivities:

{{NOTE: This the first gluten free Christmas article I ever wrote. As such, it is hopelessly out-of-date. It was simpler to write a completely new article rather than updating this one, so please click here to find information that you can actually use}}

Gluten Free Holiday Gift Baskets — celiacs enjoy their own very special treats.

Gluten Free Gift Certificates — everybody loves them; celiacs are overjoyed by the opportunity to splurge on their favorite foods.

Holiday Recipe Collections — great food and skillful cooking makes for wonderful holiday memories; scan these collections to find the perfect recipe.

More Holiday Recipes — these recipes for strawberry and ginger cheesecake, flourless peanut butter cookies, or chocolate chip cookies, will brighten your holiday. If you are baking, consider this recipe for almond flavored pie crust.

Check out my article "Gluten Free Desserts" for more ideas about adding special touches to your holiday feast.

Gluten Free Fruitcake — It is time for celiacs to join the debate about whether fruitcake is more appropriate as a delicacy or a doorstop.

A Gluten Free Thanksgiving — Where food and cooking is concerned, the two holidays are quite similar. You may wish to reread this article.

A Bread Machine for Christmas — a gluten free baker needs a bread machine designed to meet the specific requirements of celiac friendly baking.

Grind Your Own Gluten Free Flour — the recipient of this gift will be able to bake gluten free bread that is totally, fresh, high in quality, free of contamination,  and inexpensive.

Gluten Free Christmas Music — Would you believe that we celiacs have our own Christmas carol? Relax and enjoy! The Christmas season can be stressful.

Celiac Guests and Hosts — I was once the guest in a home that where my host knew just enough about my celiac disease to feel very uncomfortable. I composed this letter to give him enough information to control his anxiety without overwhelming him.

Your Chrismas Feast Will Have Leftovers — sure it will! Read this articles for ideas on what to do with them.

 You may need this information right up through New Years Eve, so I will make it easy for both of us to come back to this article. Click on the word CHRISTMAS in the bar at the top of the page (just below the logo) to return here.
