Dr. Praeger’s Potato Crusted Gluten Free Fish Fillets: a Product Review

0 Comments 20 September 2007

I enjoyed eating and writing about Dr. Praeger’s Potato Crusted Gluten Free Fish Fillets. The fillets are gluten free and kosher and are shipped frozen by The Gluten Free Mall. The product is manufactured in a facility that uses wheat and soy. Dr. Praeger is a cardiac surgeon who is very concerned about providing "sensible food" for his patients and for all of us.

The box provides directions for pan frying the fish as well as for preparing them in an oven or toaster oven. I preferred the pan frying, but I think that is strictly a matter of personal taste. What is important is that they be cooked until they are "golden brown". The potato crust tastes great; it is part of the "experience" not just a variation on  breading.

I certainly recommend this to anyone sharing my celiac diet and life style.

Disclosure: I am compensated by the Gluten Free Mall for these product reviews. The company chooses the products to be reviewed but the opinions that I state are strictly my own. The Gluten Free Mall encourages me to be honest and straight-forward and I certainly intend to do so.
