A celiac in Massachusetts might begin by reading my article “Exploring Gluten Free Boston”. There are so many celiac friendly restaurants in Massachusetts that I decided to write two separate articles.
THIS ARTICLE HAS BEEN EXPANDED AND UPDATED. CLICK HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO THAT ARTICLE.
You will also want to download or bookmark the list of Celiac-Friendly Restaurants published by Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard University. This includes Boston restaurants as well as eating places throughout Massachusetts.
Click on the Massachusetts listing of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program to get locations and phone numbers for the nineteen Outback Steakhouse’s in Massachusetts. This same list will introduce you to Rancho Chico in Worchester (508-752-8899). Their website does not mention the restaurant being gluten free.

To see that list, click the link above, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the words “Allergen Information”. Restaurants are available in Burlington (781-273-5180), Metthuen (978-946-9803), and Reading (781-944-0575).

When you get to the next plage, click on the words Allegens Info and you will find yourself reading a list of "legal" choices. Remember that this list changes from month- to- month.

Your Massachusetts vacation will probably lead you into other states. Here is a link to my article “Gluten Free Dining in New England”. I have also written articles about gluten free restaurants in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut as well as an article describing gluten free opportunities in New York City.
