February has been a busy month! My site keeps growing . There is more information posted and more visitors. My hope is that what I am writing is more useful and that my visitors leave the site better prepared to lead the gluten free life-style.
added a new section Gluten Free Recipes. Click on the title if you want to check out that page. I’ll be adding more information about celiac-friendly recipes during March.
I recommended a delicious gluten free granola and updated the post after a visitor wrote telling me of several other sources for purchasing the product.
I rewrote my Oats in the Gluten Free Diet post after the original somehow got lost in cyberspace while I was updating it. I don’t usually change the date on my posts (it makes it harder for the search engines to find me) but in this case it was necessary.
I updated Gluten Free Dining in Portland, Oregon, when I discovered Keanna’s Candyland, a delightful and totally gluten free café and bakery. I also added a post Gluten Free Dining in Chicago. Chicago looks like a great place to live gluten free; you could eat in a different gluten free restaurant every day for two months without repeating yourself.
I began a series of posts that I’m calling The Gluten Free Wish List and already have received interesting comments. Let’s pool our ideas!
I introduced a second set of advertisements on the site. Yes, I’m trying to support myself by writing this blog. Actually, I have a pension that would have been very adequate if I had worked until I was 65. I didn’t because what was eventually diagnosed as celiac disease was tearing my body apart. I retired on the first day was eligible; I sensed that I had better enjoy life while I still had the capacity to do so. A month after diagnosis I tried to get my old job back and still have more energy than I had when I retired in 1999. The gluten free diet is definitely better than any of the alternatives open to us. By the way, I have no intention of recommending products or ideas that I don't fully endorse just to make a buck.
