Evac,

I absolutely agree. It is difficult to date non celiac's. Diet does matter, we eat 3 meals a day plus snacks. If you have a relationship with someone that is not gluten free there is the constant worry of cross contamination, making restaurant choices and the list goes on. I feel guilty because I can't just eat anywhere and feel bad because I have to always have my date eat some where that wasn't their choice. I have had met a few men that thought my celiac was to much of a hassle and they didn't want to deal with it. Try living it, they have no idea. It would be a blessing to meet someone that is dealing with the same thing. It helps you feel like you belong instead of the odd person in the group. I'm hoping to meet a special man with the same challenge.

I’m actually a bunny-foster-mom through a local rabbit rescue, and along with my two boys, I take in one bunny at a time and make him/her accustomed to people, litter box train, introduce new foods, etc, until a family is interested in adopting the rescued rabbit.

So sad these sites aren't available anymore. I've been diagnosed with Celiac for the past 5 years and after going on a few dates I have thought to myself repeatedly for the past few years how much I wish I could just meet another Celiac. It would make things SO much easier--and there'd be an important bond--a common struggle that is so important I think. Some will disagree and I completely understand--of course I believe that if two people fall in love a diet hardly matters, but Celiac is a daily struggle and truly a far cry from an average person's eating habits, especially on the run and out in the world. I would like to think my perfect girl would be someone I love to be with, and who also shares the daily challenges to my diet. Here's hoping :(
